Decomposing ocean sfc evaporation to understand components and adjust the time series. Removing satellite observing changes using increments for MERRA-2 and reduced observations in JRA55 (the JRA55C) to identify the satellite obs changes. Also including ERAI. Adjusted evaporation get closer to CERA.

Clear differences exist how to go forward? Looking for broad input from the task team or their colleagues. Does not need to be task team members, but perhaps we need to form a working group from appropriate center personnel and from the community.
More reanalyses needed (ensemble?) especially ERA5 should have 1979 onward by the end of 2018
