EUMETSAT - Developing data for reanalysis, primarly partnered with ERA, but welcome to other collaborations from the operational centers

Making use of the forecast departures to improve the data stream, also using intercalibration to recalibrate data streams that have jumps

Reprocessed ASCAT, corrects a jump in the data

Already preparing for ERA6

Similar to other global reanalysis efforts - 3 task teams  conventional data, satellite data processing and calibration,  building the system

Including land surface and ocean conventional data - coming from CFSR,  supplemented with Chinese data,  homogenized radiosonde data   -

will the regional data be made available generally?  Not at this time, perhaps the 10yr reanalysis

Collecting satellite data

Have a two years processing   T6300?  Using EC model and NCEP GSI?  Using Interim as a benchmark

Next Interim reanalysis will be 2000-2011
