  • Can the data be analyzed at NERSC or does it need to be copied locally?
    • Small computations can be done at NERSC on their "login nodes". Common software packages such as Python, R, NCL, MATLAB, and Mathematica are available; a full list is included here.

Is there a straightforward way to download CRv3 global gridded ensemble mean monthly SLP values for say, 5 year blocks? (to a laptop)

I had a quick look but stumbled around the website a bit.  I'm now looking at inverse barometer compensation for extended sea level data from the 1830s/1840s. netCDF would be perfect, Laura mentioned this might be available already.
